Background / Mission Statement:
I have always been passionate about writing, promoting and music. Hence my aim at University, aside from getting a degree, was always to get a lot of media experience and to make as many contacts as possible throughout both the media and music industries. I achieved this for the most part through journalism, but partially through helping to promote various dance music events throughout the North of England. Since leaving University in 2002, I have written for a whole host of dance music publications and new-media on both a freelance and full time basis.
I've also worked within the music industry at both a major underground record label, namely Breakbeat Kaos, and at the busiest dance music forum on the World Wide Web, namely DogsOnAcid.com. I have held various roles working for them; as a journalist, editor, label manager of press officer, and they've all demanded strong interpersonal relationships with both the press and radio alike.
In the last 12 months I have written articles and press releases for Adam F, DJ Fresh, Pendulum, Baron, Andy C, Dom & Roland, Dillinja, Future Prophecies, DJ Craze and Commix to name a few. This has resulted in the aforementioned artists receiving both front cover stories, features and highlighted charts and reviews in every dance music publication around the world, as well as frequent radio airplay of all their material across both underground and mainstream stations. Additionally, every Breakbeat Kaos release to date has reached the No.1 position in the BBC Radio 1 Drum & Bass chart and two out of five reached the No.1 position in the BBC's UK Dance chart.
My passion is writing about and promoting music; if you feel my skills can benefit your product launch or album release, then by all means get in touch.
