Echo Location will contact all the various publications and radio stations and let them have a snippet (paragraph) to include on their news pages / bulletins.
Press Pack:
Biography, Discography, Press Shots and Press Release
Previous Press Clippings:
If these haven't been collated then Echo Location will edit them and collate them where required, and make the whole press pack look as professional and smart as possible.
Front Covers / Features:
As soon as Echo Location have the material on any format Echo Location will contact all the editors of the various dance music / lifestyle magazines and start pushing for front covers and features. Front covers can be arranged months in advance so the earlier Echo Location can have the material the better; cover stories are rarely agreed unless the editor has heard the material.
Press Mail Out:
This will mainly include all the major and specialist dance music publications around the world, both print and web media. Echo Location will also approach life style magazines and newspapers.
Radio Mail Out:
This includes national, regional, internet and pirate radio. Echo Location’s radio contact list is only 35 strong but they are good solid contacts. The last two releases plugged were made 'tune of the week' by Radio 1's Zane Loe and Mary Anne Hobbes. Other stations Echo Location works closely with include, Kiss FM, Choice FM, 1Xtra, and Galaxy. Echo Location can pretty much guarantee interviews for most of these stations.
Follow Up Calls:
This is where Echo Location get concrete confirmations of where and when good quality press coverage will be received. Echo Location also finds out the issue number etc and ensures that we receive copy approval and copies of the magazines.
Press Clippings:
Echo Location will collate any press coverage received; this includes news features, interviews, reviews, radio and TV. You will receive a tidy press pack to archive; inclusive of the press release, press clippings, biographies, discographies and artwork etc.
Personal Service:
This basically means that Echo Location will arrange and keep a close eye on all the timings of the various interviews that the artist/group will have to attend; magazine and radio fixtures etc. Where possible Echo Location will actually attend the interviews, especially those that are deemed extremely influential to the success of the project.
