PAST:
Rob Swire, Gareth McGrillen and Paul Harding first met in their home-town of Perth (Australia) in 2002, with their individual formative roots ranging from producing breakbeat, trance and hardcore to playing in metal and punk bands; their comparable talents proved an unstoppable force when they managed to conquer the world of drum&bass within their first 12 months, confirmed by chart topping hits and numerous awards. (Best Single, Best Producers, Best Breakthrough Act)
PRESENT:
After selling 100,000 units (UK only) of their debut artist album ‘Hold Your Colour’, remixing for such respected artists as The Prodigy, being play-listed and featuring regularly on BBC Radio 1, all whilst continually touring the world over as DJs… Whilst continuing to DJ in recent months Pendulum have decided that it’s time to take things to the next level, while going back to their roots at the same time, performing live.
PENDULUM LIVE:
You can be sure there will be no ‘hidden DAT machine’ or lip-synching – Pendulum Live will be strictly live. Vocals, guitars, bass, synths, drums…the lot! For the most part because nothing else would match the raw sonic intensity found within their studio work anyway!
THE BAND:
Evidently more than a three man job: Pendulum have gone about recruiting some of the most talented musicians in the galaxy in order to re-create their trademark ‘wall of sound’ |
